Winning Day

I have been obsessed with the Sass & Bide Spring/Summer 2012 Collection 'Winning Day'. Sass & Bide identifies the collection as 'a collective fusion of influences, being sport, the Eastern world, Kandinsky and a play on opposition and scale. And referenced elements of traditional Japanese dressing'
I have been very drawn to certain pieces in the collection; The Mr Moustache Skirt, The Travellers Muse Jacket, The Destination Dress, and the Artists Soul Pants. The reason why I have been drawn, is because they remind me of Kente cloth. The linear pattern and bright colours used for the pieces are similar elements for what is used for Kente. I bet you could go to an African party with one of these pieces and someone would actually think you are wearing Kente as an Ankara print!
The pieces can be purchased at Sass&Bide.com
